Introducing CLIMBR!
This is the first draft of my entry into LOWREZJAM 2020. In its current form, it's an infinite climber with a fixed resource (I call it RESOLVE, but there aren't enough pixels to label it in-game). Basically the game has a climbing mechanic in which the player has limited (10) stamina, but the player also has a 100 stamina reserve which is consumed when they run out of their main stamina supply. The main stamina gauge refills whenever the player lands, but the reserve does not replenish. The objective is to get as high as possible given that limitation.
Now that the base mechanics are in place, the next step is going to be to polish the movement and level generation, add sound effects and music, and improve the art.
If there is time after those elements are complete, I think I would like to add roguelite elements to the game, such as more unique level themes that change over the course of a run, and different abilities that the player can obtain periodically throughout play.
